Volunteer for Election Day Sign Distribution!

Posted October 29th, 2008 by daniel in News, Turn Texas Blue with tags , , , .

Want to make sure that our party and candidates are well-represented on Election Day? Join one of our sign distribution teams!

Our goal is to put signs at every Election Day Polling Place in Harris County. That’s a lot of polling places, so we need your help, but having signs at every location shows that we mean business.
Sign distribution will take place on November 3, so contact Jake Witherspoon at jake@hcdp.org to blanket the county with our signs!

Six Days Left: Volunteer NOW!

Posted October 29th, 2008 by daniel in News, Turn Texas Blue with tags , .

A week from today, the election will be over. The only question is, will we be waking up to a county run by the same corrupt, incompetent Republicans, or will we wake up to a county that has been swept by Democrats?

The choice is up to us. Democrats are in a position to sweep Harris County, but we need your help right up through the election if we want to make it happen.

We’ve seen an unprecedented wave of Democratic enthusiasm and momentum this year, but we can’t rest until we get every last Democratic voter to the polls by November 4. If we make sure that every Democrat in Harris County votes, we will win. And victory starts with you.

All it takes is two hours. Will you give us two hours of your time over the next six days to make personal phone calls or distribute literature? Your contribution to our GOTV effort will make the difference on November 4.

Blockwalking this Weekend!

Posted October 15th, 2008 by daniel in News, Turn Texas Blue with tags , , , , , , , .

This weekend — Saturday at 10am (and 2pm at Midtown!) and Sunday at 2pm — join the Coordinated Campaign as we keep surging forward into our second weekend of blockwalking!

Last weekend we had a huge turnout all over the county, and just like last week we will bring our message of change to communities around our Midtown, Westside, East End, and Bay Area offices.

Democrats turned out in record numbers during the March primary because we know this county needs change, and it’s up to supporters like you to make sure Democrats return the polls in even greater force to change the direction of our county and our country.

The Harris County Democratic Party has spent its time and energy building the largest and most effective ground organization this county has ever seen. The only thing left is for you to join us in knocking on doors and spreading the word to your friends and neighbors that Democrats will bring the change we need.

Come do your part this Saturday at 10am (AND 2pm at Midtown) and Sunday at 2pm and help your great candidates turn Harris County blue!

What YOU are missing out on

So we’re nearing the 20 day mark.  I used to be an athlete, so metaphorically, we’re in the last leg of this relay and we need that final surge of energy to bring us across that line to victory!  This surge of course will last throughout those 20 days and many many people will be running together to finish out this marathon of an election! Volunteer Today!

Last weekend at the JRR Dinner we saw firsthand the unbelievable enthusiasm of Harris County Democrats. It wasn’t just at the JRR Dinner, either — it’s the same enthusiasm you see every day in our campaign offices and in your neighborhoods.

Now, it’s your turn to join our momentum and help us work to victory in November.

Defeating decades of entrenched Republican corruption and mismanagement will not be easy, and our great candidates need your help to hand out the signs, knock on the doors, and make the calls that will truly make the difference in November.

Will you volunteer today?

Our eight county-wide campaign offices are open from early in the morning to late at night, filled with supporters like you working tirelessly to bring change to Harris County.

Will you join us in making our movement a reality?

Here’s what you can do:

  • Phone bank targeted voters
  • Help on data entry
  • Work a reception desk at our office

Call 713.802.0085 or click here to find the local office near you. Give us a call and let us know how and when you can help.

Data Entry Project

Posted August 13th, 2008 by admin in News, Turn Texas Blue with tags .

Earlier this election season, you helped create the largest Democratic database in the history of Harris County. Now, we need your help in a data entry project that will help our candidates up and down the ballot. We need you to come in to the HCDP Headquarters (map) to help enter email and voter history records to help our Coordinated Campaign.

Contact Eric at our office at eric@hcdp.org for more information. This is a time sensitive project, so please let Eric know if we can count on you to help enter our info. Thank you again for all your help and what you have done to help Turn Harris County Blue!
