Election Day isn’t only November 4th…it is today.  Early voting has started and here’s why it is important that you do it:

No matter where you live in Harris County, you can vote at any Early Voting location.  On Nov. 4th, you can only vote in your local precinct.  With work, kids, and all the running around we do, isn’t it easier to just vote today when it is quick and easy? For a list of polling locations and times, click here.

Also, make sure you watch our Video from this weekend’s Early Vote rally, and learn why it’s important to vote, and how to make sure that you vote for change up and down the ballot.

The Coordinated Campaign challenges you to do this: send this post to FIVE FRIENDS.  If everyone does this simple, 30 second request, we will reach over 200,000 people.  Will you do your part?

Vote Democratic. Vote Early. Be the Change.

Sunnyside Campaign Office POSTPONED

Posted September 10th, 2008 by daniel in News, Turn Texas Blue with tags , , .

Due to the situation with Hurricane Ike, our Sunnyside Office Opening will be postponed until next Saturday, September 20th.  The Harris County Democratic Party encourages you to be prepared and with your family during this weekend.

Please join the Harris County Democratic Party and your friends and neighbors on our new date, September 20th, as we open our latest satellite campaign office in Sunnyside. We are so lucky to be in the center of big things happening in Harris County, and with less than 60 days until the election, we need your help now more than ever to make sure that your local candidates become the elected leaders we need.

Harris County’s Democratic turnout during the March primary was unprecedented, and we need that same enthusiasm for Democrats come the general election this November. The Republicans in Harris County have proven they will do whatever it takes to hold on to their offices, and it will take all of our effort as a community to restore integrity and accountability to our public officials.

We want to start of our efforts in Sunnyside with a bang, and we need your help to make it happen! Please help us on our new date to make this a memorable celebration as we look forward to turning Texas blue in November. We hope you will join us, your candidates, and your public officials this weekend for the fun and festivities at our new Sunnyside Democratic HQ, so we can continue our momentum to Turn Texas Blue.

For more information, e-mail Mike Lactson at mlactson at hcdp.org!

See you there!
