I wanted to take the opportunity to make you aware of a service being organized by Congressman Nick Lampson.  In order to provide assistance to those affected by Hurricane Ike, a mobile congressional office will be opening today, September 18, 2008, at American Legion Post 490 located at 11702 Galveston Rd.(State Hwy 3), Houston, TX 77034 (across from Ellington Field). Back In Business!

Power is back at the 3710 Travis Office.  We’ve got a lot of catching up to do and the best way to get the work done is to make phone calls!  Come by the office, you can get a yard sign, buttons, t-shirts.  Bumper-stickers should be in by this weekend.  And while you’re here… make some phone calls!

From power outages to property damage, Hurricane Ike has left its mark as one of the worst storms Harris County has seen in decades. I know many of you are experiencing significant hardship in the wake of Hurricane Ike, and our thoughts are with you as you work to recover.

In true Texas fashion, the people of Harris County have pulled together to help one another through these difficult times. The Harris County Democratic Party would like to provide some information to our friends and neighbors that might be useful in the days and weeks ahead — both to help yourselves through the recovery process, and to help your neighbors in Harris County.

Many of us still lack power, some have lost their homes, but all of us are
going to make it through these difficult times by working together.
