Posted July 24th, 2008 by daniel in News, Turn Texas Blue .East End Campaign Office Opens this Saturday, July 26
The Harris County Democratic Party is proud to announce the grand opening of the first of many local campaign offices in Harris County! This Saturday, July 26th, join your friends, neighbors, and local candidates and officials as we open the doors of the the Coordinated Campaign’s East End Campaign Office at 201 Broadway (map). Come at 10 am for hot dogs and cold drinks, and at 11 am enjoy an exciting program featuring master of ceremonies Constable Victor Trevino, and raffle drawings every 15 minutes.
Many of us volunteered at this location for Senator Hillary Clinton, and we hope you will come back once more to support our Democrats up and down the ballot. The energy in our March Primary was unprecedented, and we’ll need it again to make sure that Democrats win all over the state and in our community to restore integrity and accountability to our public officials. We hope you will join us this weekend for the fun and festivities at our new East End Campaign office, so we can build momentum to Turn Texas Blue.
If you aren’t able to attend this opening, stay tuned for our West Houston Campaign Office opening next Saturday, August 2!

Precinct Project Data Entry Done!
When you start to take on a monumental project, it is sometimes hard to understand how the small steps you take will ever get you anywhere. Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers hours spent clicking a mouse, typing in a number, and recording email addresses, we are proud to announce the Harris County Democratic Party now has the most sophisticated database in Texas. Here’s what you helped us do:
- Identify over 99,000 Precinct Caucus Attendees
- Record over 97,000 Phone numbers
- Enter over 40,000 new email address
All of this has been recorded per precinct, meaning we will be able to give our local folks the best tools available to win. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again to all the volunteers who have made this project such a success and given us such strong momentum. Thanks to you, we are ready to win this November.
I would also like to personally thank Eric Ingenthron for his commitment and vision on this project. Eric, thank you for giving Democrats the tools they need to turn Harris County blue!
