Mistress of Ceremonies, Diane Trautman

Not even heavy rains can stop us! We’re officially opened in Crosby and we are fired up and ready for change! Enthused democrats mingled with elected officials and candidates, all excited for the 79 days until the November election.

Diane Trautman led as Mistress of Ceremonies, giving the crowd an update on her campaign for Tax Assessor-Collector. We heard from Joe Montemayor, candidate for Texas House 127, who also led the crowd for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Constable Ken Jones offered remarks on the upcoming election season and we heard from Congressman Gene Green who stressed the importance of focusing on the down-ballot races, “from the White House, to the state house, to the courthouse!”

In addition, candidates like Kyle Carter for Civil District Court 125, Larry Weiman for Civil District Court 80, R.K. Sandill for Civil District Court 127, Jaclanel McFarland for Civil District Court 133, Bob Schaffer for Civil District Court 152, Robert Hinojosa for Family District Court 312, Kathy Stone for Probate Court 1, C.O. “Brad” Bradford for District Attorney, Vince Ryan for County Attorney, Loren Jackson for District Clerk, and Bert Moser for 14th Court of Appeals all made the drive and braved the rain to kick-off efforts for Northeast Harris County!

Party Chairman Gerry Birnberg closed the program, inspiring Democrats to take action to ensure Democrats are elected up and down the ballot because “¡Ya basta!,” enough is enough! It’s time to sweep out the Republicans and bring justice and accountability back to our government!

Also in attendance were Mr. McNiery, Medal of Honor recipient, and Gerald Blankenship, commander of the local American Legion.
